When did you start using reuseable period products and what motivated you?

I got my first cups a year ago. My period was getting heavier, and tampons were leaky. Ultra size tampons were huge and uncomfortable!

How many cycles did it take before you felt closer to confident in having a leak-free experience?

How often do you have to change your cup on a heavy day?

I usually empty it whenever I use the bathroom just as a precaution.

What is your period routine like?

I use my bigger cup for my heavy days, and the smaller one for the light days/spotting. And I wear a regular pad with my cup overnight on heavy days, or if I’m going to be away from home for a few hours.

What do you use to wash your cup with?

I use my sensitive skin body wash, as I can be sensitive down there, and I know it doesn’t bother me.

Have you ever changed your cup or disc in a public bathroom?

Luckily, no, not yet.

What’s the longest you’ve left your cup in for?

About 13 hours while sleeping

Do you use your cup to catch discharge?

Yes, I have discharge with old blood for a week or so before my period, and I use my smaller cup for that.

How do you sanitise your cup?

I’ve been boiling some water and pouring it over my cup, letting it sit for 5 minutes. But recently learned this may not be a good way to do it.

Would you ever use a second hand cup?

How many products did you try before you found one that works for you? Which ones didn’t work for you?

I’m still using the first cups I bought. They’re a cheap generic brand from Amazon that I bought to try out cups. They’re okay, but way too soft for me, I can’t get them to open fully.

Is there a product that you would be interested in trying if you had no budget concerns?

I’m going to buy a Hello high cervix cup soon, but if I could, I would get it in 2 sizes for lighter and heavier days. As well as a Venus large cup because it has higher capacity for overnights. Also interested in trying the Hello disc when it becomes available.
